Tollywood actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is all set for the release of his upcoming bilingual project titled Custody. The teaser of the film was shared on Thursday, March 16, by the makers of the film. Custody will be released in Telugu and Tamil and is helmed by filmmaker Venkat Prabhu and co-stars Krithi Shetty in the lead. The film is likely to be released in summer 2023. Actor Arvind Swami has been roped in to play the antagonist in Custody, while the rest of the star-studded cast includes Sarath Kumar, Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Premgi Amaren, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath, and other notable actors. Further, music maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shakar Raja are on board to compose music for the movie. Custody, which is being bankrolled by Srinivasaa Silver Screen, is tentatively scheduled to be released on May 12 this year.

The film’s teaser was launched by the moviemakers on March 16 at 04: 51 pm and the 1-minute 28-second long teaser keeps the audience at the edge of their seats as the story of the film seems to be simple but complex at the same time.

Movie Story
Venkat Prabhu has written and directed the action drama. The film tells the story of a low-ranking police officer, played by Chaitanya. But, his humble position doesn’t seem to stop him from fighting for what’s right and more importantly what’s true. In the teaser, Chaitanya’s character describes himself as a man with an “injured heart” and he’s willing to go to any extent for retribution. And he’s okay to even fight battles for what he believes in. “I know that the death is chasing me but I don’t know when will it catch up with me. The weapon I have picked is the truth,” tells Chaitanya in a gutsy tone.
