Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga Movie Trailer
The trailer of Ranga Ranga Vaibhanga movie released. How did a boy and a girl who were fighting since childhood fall in love? The movie was opened with the plot of whether they finally became one or not. The hero who is having fun with college and family gets into trouble due to some circumstances. It seems from the trailer that the story of this movie is about what happened after that. At the end of the trailer, Veshnav’s dialogue saying, Dad, I won’t tell you one count till now, and from now on, show me’ has increased interest in the movie.
Rishi(Vaishnav Tej) and Radha(Ketika Sharma) belong to two close knit families. They fall in love and when they think of revealing it to their parents, yet another love story in their own family creates disturbances in their relationship. Vaishnav Tej gets a makeover with this film and gets to play the lover boy and does well in his role. He handles the comedy quotient effectively and is neat in a romantic role. Ketika sheds her glamor quotient and gets a decent role and does well. Her chemistry with Tej is amazing. Naveen Chandra gets a strong role and he was quite good in it. He brings a lot of depth to the film.
The first half has some decent comedy and one more attraction was DSP’s music which was pretty good. The supporting cast are all well known artists and they have done well in their respective roles. Comedian Satya is neat in his cameo. The film ignores the pure bond between the characters played by VK Naresh and Prabhu once their kids become adults. The cordial relations between the two families spoiled overnight. And, suddenly, the two men, who have been friends for decades, start behaving as though they are not supposed to utter anything in the presence of their children.
Writer-director Gireeshaaya derives plot points from a number of movies. And that itself wouldn’t have been a minus had the love story and the clash between the two families been fleshed out thoroughly. The TV soap ‘Kartheeka Deepam’ reference, instead of making the characters played by Tulasi and Pragathi (who are the mothers of Radha and Rishi) seem charmingly innocent, robs the drama of seriousness. The second half is full of such silly ideas.
The pre-interval block and the climax are the only serious portions of the film. What happens before them is juvenile. The medical camp segment, where comedian Satya becomes the butt of mockery, is awkward. The medical college segment is too generic and unfunny.
The songs come in at regular intervals but hardly add value to the story. It looks obvious that Gireesaaya used a rulebook for film making little realising that there need to be no rules to storytelling, and all that one needs to do is stretch the imagination a little far and get a bit innovative.
