Shruti Haasan appeared in a guest role in her father’s directorial movie Hey Ram. She was born to actor Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur in Chennai. Her father Kamal Haasan is from Tamilnadu and mother Sarika is a Maharashtrian. Sruti Haasan completed her primary education at Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao school in Chennai and then moved to Mumbai to study psychology at St. Andrew’s College.
Sruti Haasan made her singing debut in the Hindi language film Chachi 420, which was directed by her father. Then Haasan’s first appearance in a feature film was a cameo role as the daughter of Vallabhbhai Patel in the Tamil-Hindi bilingual Hey Ram, based on a murder attempt on Mahatma Gandhi, directed by her father Kamal Haasan. Now She is successful and popular “Indie-film star” in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi Films by appearing in more than 30 movies.

Born on 28 January 1986 as of now, she was 33 years old. She entered into the Film Industry in the year 2000 with Hey Ram Movie. Since then she is continuously performing well.
